Counter Strike New Revealed
After weeks of rumors Valve has finally revealed Counter Strike new. It's a major upgrade to CS:GO which will be bringing it on the Source 2 engine.
It also includes responsive smoke grenades as well as sub-tick updates for servers. It's got plenty of armchair gamers going crazy but it is a huge upgrade for regular players.
Smokes
Counter Strike New is getting an update that will completely change the method of using smokes in the game. The new changes are being referred to as responsive smokes and will be a major game changer. Smokes will expand to fill in areas and move around objects on the map. They will also respond to the lighting of the games, making them look more real. In addition to these new features, smokes are now be capable of interfacing with gameplay events and will offer new tactical possibilities. Bullets, for instance will cause smoke to be pushed to temporarily clear the sightlines. Hex grenade blasts will also disperse smoke occlusion.
The most significant change in smokes is that they'll become a more active part of the game. Smokes in earlier versions were a fixed object that had a limited scope of movement and blocking. The smokes are now able to expand to cover the space they're in and will block more of the player's vision when they are in the area. This is a major change that will make the game more dynamic and give both sides the same level of visibility.
In addition smokes will also react to the environment as well as weaponry and lighting in the world space. This makes the smoke appear more realistic and allow players to utilize it in various ways to gain an advantage over their opponents. This is especially beneficial during the chaotic matches that will take place on every map.
Smokes will no longer be one-way, which was a significant issue in CSGO and allowed players to view their opponents' positions from behind the smoke. Twistzz is a well-known CS:GO professional who says the new system will make CS2 more fair for both teams.
Other minor changes include changing the vertical position of smoke particles to decrease the visibility of edges, and updating spectators smoke overlay images so that they match their camera's location. The expiration of smokes was adjusted to match the visuals on screen.
Loadouts
The players of CS:GO are able to modify their weapon selection prior to the start of every game. The updated loadout system lets players to select the weapons that best suit their playstyle and team's strategies. The updated system adds new depth to the game as players must balance the power of their weapons and their utility.
The CS: GO Update includes several additional improvements and modifications in addition to the brand new loadouts. The buy menu was completely revamped. The servers will know exactly the moment you fired a shot, jumped, or peeked.

According to the video the CS: GO server will be able to send more than twice the information as a 64-tick server.
This means that even when the tick rate of the game is increased to 128 Hz, it will still be able handle your commands immediately. And it's not only about increasing the tick rate, either; micro-tick updates can reduce latency and input lag by ensuring that the server responds to your actions without delays or glitches.
Valve's technical improvements to the game are only the beginning. Valve is currently implementing dynamic smoke and particle systems to improve how smoke interacts with the environment and is updating all maps with high-resolution lighting, textures, and models. Source 2 tools and features will be used to update all CS: GO cosmetics and weapons.
Maps
The upcoming update for Counter Strike New will bring new maps to the game, as well as some old favorites that are getting facelifts. These updates are currently being tested as part of a limited-test beta. The first set of maps comprises upgrade and touchstone maps that won't see major changes to gameplay, whereas others have been renovated or redesigned using the new Source 2 tools.

These maps won't be added to the competitive map pool, even though they are still playable. Train is the only exception, as it has been removed from Active Duty but will still be played in tournaments. Valve hasn't yet announced if the other maps that were removed will be returned to the pool.
Helsingin Sanomat is the national newspaper of Finland. Its update has been deemed controversial. The newspaper has been vocal in its criticism of Russia's actions in Ukraine and the map is based from the war-torn city of Donetsk. The map is dubbed de_voyna and includes a number references to the conflict.
In the future the developer will be releasing a set of Source 2 tools for community map makers to use in their own creations. This will include features such as improved lighting and character reading, as well physical-based rendering systems that produces realistic materials and textures. It will also allow for easier implementation of real-world objects, like doors and windows. The update will be available sometime this summer.
